The Vitality Hockey Women’s World Cup in London this summer just keeps getting bigger and better!
With the tournament drawing ever closer we’re delighted to announce details of Fan Central, a hub for everyone to get together and kick-start their World Cup experience.
- The go-to destination for fans of the Vitality Hockey Women’s World Cup London 2018 both ahead and after seeing the action inside the Arena.
- Site covering the size of almost three Hockey pitches where Great Britain’s women won bronze at London 2012
- Big screen, live music, food and drink with a festival vibe
- Free entry, open to all including non-ticket holders
Come early to maximise your day out! Walk the Vitality Mile and you’ll arrive at Fan Central; there’s loads to do. It’s a place to meet fellow fans, shop, eat, drink, pick up a stick, meet your sporting heroes and be entertained. Get together and sample the atmosphere of a World Cup in London!

FOOD AND DRINK
Fine food and drink for every taste and appetite will be on offer this summer at the Vitality Hockey Women’s World Cup!
With its mission to make London taste better, KERB will be bringing street food to the party in Fan Central with a whole host of units offering an oasis of flavour throughout the tournament.
Renowned for bringing its exciting and unique menus to London’s most iconic spaces, KERB will be fuelling the festival vibe in Fan Central with cuisine from China, India, Italy, Greece, Mexico and more.
Whether it is a visit to Fundi Pizza, a curry from the Indian Street Kitchen or a burrito from Killadilla you won’t be going hungry at the Vitality Hockey Women’s World Cup! All diets will be catered for including gluten free, peanut free, vegan, vegetarian and halal.
Meanwhile inside the Arena, Five Star catering will be delivering an excellent range of food including burgers, hot dogs and healthier options. They will be catering for vegetarian and gluten free customers as well as meal deals with both soft and alcoholic drinks. Got a sweet tooth? They've got this covered as well with a selection of crepes and waffles!
Merchant Gourmet will also be selling a range of their foods including salads, lentil burgers and prawn and chorizo paella on selected days across the tournament.
Your thirst will be ably quenched in both Fan Central and inside the Arena as we work with our partners Fullers and Harrogate!

TOSHIBA TV’S BIG SCREEN AND STAGE
With a big screen and stage, fans will be able to watch all the live action as well as seeing live music and entertainment as well as meeting your hockey heroes!

Whether you have match tickets or not, visitors to Fan Central can sample the atmosphere during the build-up to push back, watch the action live on the big screen and be a part of a home World Cup in London! Toshiba will also be hosting a premium viewing area, so make sure you get down to experience that.

Competing teams will be visiting Fan Central throughout the tournament giving you the chance to meet the stars!
Grab an autograph and a selfie with your favourite players in the Hockey Zone when teams visit Fan Central!
How do I get access to autographs?
Get to Fan Central for the opening time and head into the Info Station. Wristbands are given out for free on a first come/first serve basis, so ask one of our helpful Hockey Makers for one. If you are unfortunate and don’t manage to get a wristband, you can still join the queue but won’t be guaranteed an autograph.
Squads will be taking part in live Q&As on on stage , as well as trying out some of our amazing games in the Hockey Zone against spectators.
A full schedule and timings are available , with England set to be in Fan Central from 4pm on Saturday 28 July. Make sure you get down to Fan Central and don’t miss out!
There will be opportunity aplenty for some retail therapy at the Vitality Hockey Women’s World Cup with Fan Central hosting some of the world’s top brands! The likes of Adidas, Grays, Gryphon, TK, Ritual and more will be displaying their top of the range hockey and sports equipment including sticks, kit and shoes to get you kitted out for the new season.
As well as this there will be replica shirts, merchandise and more at the England Hockey Store so grab your gear and get behind your country! Other brands confirmed include STX, Wacky Sox, HocSox, Crown Hockey, Mazon, Espada and Oregon.
Immerse yourself in the sport at Hockey Zone where you can experience the future and learn about the past!
Get up and close and personal with the England stars in training with a stunning virtual reality experience! See how Maddie Hinch makes some of those incredible saves close up!
Pick up a stick and give hockey a go in many different forms. Play small sided games on our mini-pitches and find out what Snookey is all about!
Giving Hockey’s History a Future. Explore hockey through the ages, from original hockey sticks to virtual reality, this Hockey Museum is well worth a visit. The World Cup trophy will also be on display here at various times, so make sure you bring your camera.

Event partners Vitality, Jaffa, UK Sport, Toshiba, and Loughborough in London will also be putting on some exciting activities to take part in, including an inflatable assault course, Batak Board and the opportunity to try many different sports. Get involved!
With something for everyone, the Hockey Zone is a perfect destination for families to visit when in Fan Central.

- Aerosol or gas canisters
- Any article likely to cause injury (including knives & weapons)
- Any article prohibited under law
- Laser pointers
- Hazardous substances
- Objects, clothing or signage for the purposes of unauthorised promotional marketing
- Pets or Animals (Other than guide/service dogs)
- Alcohol – unless purchased at Fan Central
Organisers reserve the right to remove visitors who do not abide by the England Hockey Code of Ethics & Behaviour or who are in possession of one or more of the prohibited items as above.
